We've taken the time to personally take you step-by-step through some of our monologues on DVD. Now you can learn the monologue as Howi guides you line by line through the entire script from beginning to end. The DVD shows you how he blocks the whole monologue and gives you ideas how he goes through the process. The DVD will lay a firm foundation to build your character on. He now has 3 male monologues finished and 2 female monologues. These 5 are offered as a single or as a group now, but more will come soon.
1. Someday, Came Today - This monologue is about the thief at the cross who reached out to Jesus. We can hypothesize about his past, but what a miraculous day for someone who didn’t deserve it. Christ’s love is wonderfully shown in this event at Calvary. Even though the event is historical, Howi brings a modern application through the breaking down of just the one line that Jesus said to the thief. “Today, you will be with me in Paradise.” Never will those words have a fuller and more relative meaning then when they come alive through this monologue.
2. The Perfect Lamb - We know that Abraham took Isaac to sacrifice on the mountain of Mariah. God supplied the sacrifice. What we don’t know is, ‘where did that ram or sheep come from?’ Was it a wandering sheep from a nearby herd? Howi uses a little poetic license to tell the story of the perfect lamb that God supplied to Abraham for the sacrifice. There are many parallels to Christ and Calvary woven through the script. This monologue can be performed at any time of the year.
3. The Betrayal - Caiaphas reflects back to the moment when he was visited by Judas and set up the moment when Judas betrayed the Lord Jesus. Great for Easter or anytime. "Isn't amazing that when hundreds would do anything to touch his garment, that one of his own is ready to wash his hands of him?" Wonderful Easter script.
4. The Act - The woman caught in the act of adultery reflects back to the day when she first met the Lord Jesus. The day she thought would be her last, became her greatest. This is a very moving piece...with rising ebb and flow. Woman's conference or sermon set-up. Ask about the custom music and sound effect CD for this monologue.
5. Fear Not - Mary recounts the angelic visit to her cousin Elisabeth. A perfect sketch for Christmas, She brings the audience into the very moment of Gabriel's visit. Great opportunity for the actor to bring Mary to life. Woman's conference or anytime. $7.50 Download script Fear Not $11.00 Fear Not DVD being blocked Step by Step

4. Unto the Lamb - This DVD is an illustration of the song. We use this beautiful song as our grand finale in The Encounter, but could be used all through the year to compliment any Worship service. The song is from the Hope Project and the music is downloadable from itunes for .99 cents.

Christian Drama Instructional DVDs, Manuals and Study Guides Including Sign Language, Set Building and Painting Techniques Even though Christmas and Easter plays have been performed for years, not a lot of study guides for the church play production has been written or produced. In an effort to help bridge the gap, Howi has authored a few books and produced a series of DVDs that might help you through the process the next time you get inspired to do this years church play. Years of Christian drama experience.
With years of experience Howi and Terry have combined to teach thousands of drama students full time the last 13 years.
